educators

Do you remember how fascinating early childhood development was when you were learning about the Reggio Emelia way, did you agree with Piage’s four stages of development, or did you like the Montessori way? Do you become more inspired when you bear witness to a child’s discovery… the ‘ah-ha’ of an ordinary moment? Are you interested in providing quality educational environments for children to explore, try, investigate, practice, develop, revel, explore, learn, and be inspired; a place for children to express themselves in the many different languages of childhood? As educators, we nurture their desires to learn, support their processes, and build trusting, respectful relationships.

If this resonates with you, we would like to hear from you!

Maven Lane has a variety of programs, supporting children 9 months to 12 years of age. Our care, educational, and recreational programs support children and families in a community that celebrates everyone’s unique and special gifts. In order to do this, we employ educators who are dedicated, professional, have a growth approach to their skills development and appreciate what an important role they play in the children’s lives.

In order to attract these types of educators, we make it our mission to always be the employer of choice in our field. We value our educators as our most important resource in quality service provision. We demonstrate this by offering an employment package that reflects our appreciation of those not just needing a job, but those choosing Maven Lane as a career opportunity. If you would like to:

  • feel at home in a warm and friendly environment with great families and supportive team
  • build your strengths and pursue your professional interests with funding and support for ongoing training
  • discover your talents with the opportunity to work with different age groups
  • employ a range of leading-edge early learning philosophies through our unique programs
  • spend more time with your own family, thanks to the four-day workweek
  • belong to a non-profit organization that’s been guided by the success and well-being of its families and staff since 1994

If you are a professional educator and excited about the possibility of joining our team, please send us your resume via the contact form. If you are not an educator but have transferrable skills and are excited by the idea of becoming qualified to work in the early years industry, we are happy to discuss the possibilities with you.

There has never been a better time to be part of the early childhood education field! Our dedication and services to the most vulnerable of the population are being recognized. The Federal Government is actively looking into ways to promote the profession of early childhood educators, demonstrating their understanding of just how essential our service is!

Our service is always our very best effort. Every individual who works here is part of a large team of professionals who bring their best self to work each day. Whether we are caring for infants, or cutting the grass, we are all here because we want to make a difference in children’s lives. We are all proud to be Mavens!

You could be part of a supportive and dynamic team who’s efforts are rewarded with an individualized and progressive remuneration package that includes:

  • competitive wages
  • continuing education funding
  • room for advancement
  • team building events
  • annual holidays
  • personal days
  • extended health and dental
  • RRSP contributions
  • wellness program
  • self driven perks program

Maven Lane is like any other home; there are always jobs that need to be done to keep the place safe, smooth-running and looking good! Working for a non-profit requires imagination, creativity and thinking outside the box. If you have experience with the maintenance of commercial property and are able to work not only to code but with the desire to create a great space for children, you may wish to send your resume to us. There is not always a full-time position available, but we can keep your resume on file—and perhaps there are projects you can help us with in the meantime.

drivers

With a small selection of vehicles, we are proud to ensure the children’s safe journey to and from school. When we aren’t on the school runs, we love to take the younger children on the road to new and exciting places to expand their horizons! If you have a Class 2 (with air brakes) or Class 4 unrestricted license, along with the willingness to take on some child care qualifications, we want to hear from you! If you have the ability to form trusting relationships with your riders, bring a sense of fun while putting their safety first, you sound like a great fit!
