Your waitlist application:

  • may be submitted when you have an expected due date
  • is dated the day we receive your application via our website. Waitlists are filed in chronological order according to date and time of application received. You will receive a confirmation email stating that your application has been accepted. Please keep this email for your records
  • does not guarantee a space will be offered
  • has a desired start date, however it does not guarantee a space. Spaces are offered as they arise, and we cannot predict when that might be
  • must be transparent in order to avoid delays or complications to your child’s enrolment

It is your responsibility to ensure your contact information is up to date. If anything changes from your initial application, please complete a ‘waitlist information update’ form on our website.

Typically, infant spaces are filled by siblings of currently enrolled members. The infant age group has the longest wait times.

If your child ages out of an age-group before you are offered a space, your application will move to the next age group automatically. You do not need to re-apply. All spaces are offered in application chronological order, so your original date of application moves to the next age group.

Currently enrolled children will have first opportunity to any spaces that become available; we will then move to our priority list. Our priority policy supports the operations of our Society, the community and the family unit. Placements, in order of priority, are:

  • adherence to licensing obligations
  • employee’s children
  • vulnerable populations (as defined by MCFD)
  • siblings

We reserve spaces for vulnerable populations as part of our mandate is to support the community.

You will be contacted via email when a space becomes available. You will have 24 hours to accept the space.  For enrolment information, please see our Enrolment Policies page.

wait list policy

It’s an exciting time when you are offered a position for your child in one of our programs. There is a lot of important information sharing to ensure your smooth entrance into our services.

To help you, we have shared our waitlist and enrolment policy, as well as frequently asked questions. Please read these pages before joining our waitlist so you understand our policies, practices and business model. If after reading our policies, you still have questions, please feel free to contact our Enrolment Coordinator.

Our waitlists are extensive so unfortunately we are unable to offer tours of our facility until you have been offered a position. There is a tight timeline between being offered a position and your acceptance, so it is imperative that you have a clear understanding of our philosophies and business model and that we meet with your approval. This will help to make the quick decision easier.

Waitlist times fluctuate but, given the significant number of families on our waitlist, please expect an extended wait time. Many variables influence waitlist times including the time of year, the age group, availability of positions, priority placements, and government funding initiatives. Spaces are filled in accordance to licensing regulations and Maven Lane waitlist policies.

Waitlists can be submitted via our website only. If you do not have access to a computer, please come to our office and we will be happy to assist you.
